The Hippest Dance Party Friday!

For those of you who don't know, I'm a dance educator in a local charter school and I'm currently doing graduate work in Dance Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Dance is just as much a part of my every day life as the food I eat. I love many genres of dance. I love dancing, I love watching dance, and I love learning about dance. Every Friday, I am going to share my love with you in some way, shape or form. It might be something to watch, something to try, a game to play with your kiddos, a song to go bonkers to... Whatever strikes me.

Why dance in a blog about food, farms and markets?
One of my reasons for making the lifestyles changes we're making is simply wanting to FEEL better. Dancing helps me feel better physically, emotionally, mentally. It grounds me and makes me feel more connected... all the same things I'm looking for by becoming more connected to local food. The way I see it, it makes perfect sense!

For today's Hippest Dance Party, I give you one of my favorite examples of someone dancing it out:
Warehouse Dance Scene from Footloose

After watching that, you might feel the urge to dance your heart out to "Footloose" by Kenny Loggins... I fully support that. Go nuts.
